ASCENT is a project to access the latest research infrastructure for nanotechnology CMOS technologies below 10 nm, provided by participants in the CEA-LETI project (Grenoble, France), the National Institute Tyndall (Cork, Ireland) and IMEC (Leuven, Belgium). The three institutions have extensive experience in production facilities for semiconductor devices, advanced equipment for electrical characterization and expertise in physical and technological (TCAD) modeling of semiconductor devices. Using the provided open access to the latest technology and equipment will increase the competitiveness of European partners and allow growth of the capacity of the global nanoelectronics industry.
