This is a great opportunity for academic & industrial researchers, policy makers and Intel technologists to come together to discuss the hottest topics in ICT. As usual we will host a number of plenary talks from outstanding speakers in a variety of fields, describing current opportunities and future challenges.
As the World begins to witness the emergence of the next wave of computing, the consistent challenge that has faced Scientists and Engineers throughout the last decades of Moore’s Law continues to dominate our work; that is power consumption. The “Internet of Things” requires us to find and integrate new materials, device architectures and the technology schemes that enable a “zero net energy” operation in order for computing to become completely pervasive, ubiquitous and reliable.
The Intel Ireland Research Conference of 2016 will focus on this challenge, and showcase the great collaborative research activities already under way to enable this next computing paradigm.
